Climbing On Up

I have lately been getting into rock climbing, and today I was officially belay certified! 🧗🏽‍♀️ I don’t really enjoy lifting weights or using machines at the gym, so I try to find other more dynamic ways to stay in shape. I usually go on runs or take dance classes but rock climbing has proven to be the ultimate full-body workout (I know because my whole body is sore the next day lol). I love being able to challenge myself with different climbing grades and that every climb is different. They say that rock climbing can even improve your memory since it combines balance with muscle coordination and spatial orientation. And to top it off, I found out rock climbing often burns more calories than running...🤯 I’ve only been going once a week for 3 weeks now but I may just have to start going even more with all the benefits it gives (not to mention it’s fun)!
